Another report
Sunday 8/19
We went out on our
boat. I should have stayed home when the GPS went on the
blink. We had a fun trip and the weather was good, at least
for the first
half of the day. We caught a few nice snapper in the 200' depth
range south
of Pensacola pass 30 miles. Unfortunately the day went down
hill from there.
It started with a waterspout with in 1/4 mile of us. We figured
that was our
sign to head in. On the way in we encountered another squall
with 50+ mph
winds. Needless to say it was exciting for a while, but even
with all that it
was better than siting on the beach. Unfortunately we didn't
take the camera
on the boat, the waterspout was impressive, it would have made
some great
pictures, and the fish didn't justify pics. There's always
next time!
