Hardiplank and Hardipanel fiber-cement exterior sidings are durable, attractive alternatives to traditional wood composite, cedar, vinyl, brick or stucco sidings.

Combining the look and warmth of natural wood with the durability of fiber-cement, Hardiplank and Hardipanel resist damage from extended exposure to humidity, rain, snow, salt air and termites. They are dimensionally stable and under normal conditions will not crack, rot or delaminate.

Ideal for residential and light commercial applications, Hardiplank lap siding is available factory primed in four attractive profiles. A variety of widths provide regional design flexibility.

Hardipanel vertical siding has excellent structural and impact properties and can be used as a shear panel. It is available in three sheet sizes and four distinct textures.

James Hardie also offers finishing touches like Hardisoffit and Harditrim in textures to complement the siding of your choice.

Factory Priming
Hardiplank and Hardipanel are also available factory primed. Our long lasting, acrylic-based primer provides full, even coverage, furnishes an excellent surface for adhesion of latex- or oil-based topcoats and reduces in-place siding costs.

Finishing With Paint
Finish the job by painting Hardiplank and Hardipanel with a high quality, exterior grade, 100% acrylic latex paint which mat be sprayed, rolled or brush applied. Hardie sidings have excellent paint retention qualities that will keep your siding looking great well after other sidings need repainting. But remember, paint performance is dependent upon the quality of paint and the conditions under which it is applied. Always follow the paint manufacturer's written recommendations for application and maintenance of field applied paints.

Surface Textures
Hardiplank - Hardiplank lap siding is available in a variety of textures: Smooth, Cedarmill, Colonial Smooth and Colonial Roughsawn. Smooth shows a smooth surface, Cedarmill offers a natural timber-grain appearance. Colonial Smooth has a smooth-sanded appearance with a channel lap shadow line. Colonial Roughsawn offers a timber-grain appearance with a smooth channel lap shadow line.

Hardipanel - Hardipanel vertical siding is also available in an array of beautiful textures: Smooth, Stucco, Sierra-8" and Sierra-4". Sierra-8" provides a natural, rustic appearance with 5/8" grooves, 8" on center, and Sierra-4" offers a rough textured appearance with molded grooves at 4" intervals. Smooth and Stucco textures help you achieve the exact look you want with the durability and reliability of a fiber-cement siding.
